In her own words:

This is an adult establishment, and the products we sell are alcohol and some food. This has been a family run business for the past 39 years. Occasionally my daughter and my grandson help me. This business has always been established on Lancaster Avenue. You find us in the phone book.

Why did you want the digital connectors to create a web profile for you?

The Avenue is changing.  It's progressing and getting better and I’m trying to catch up with the time.

Do you think the internet is a good way to promote your business?

I believe it is, it reaches a lot of people and it gives me [more of] an opportunity to promote my business.

What have you learned from being in this business?

Being in the hospitality business I’ve learned quite a bit. I’ve learned to be an excellent listener because, people come to you with all their problems.

How would you describe your customers?

I have hard working neighborhood people, and during the fall I have adult students from the university.  Because it’s a neighborhood bar, I have old established customers. I’ve also been here for so many years, and it’s a happy atmosphere.

What's new at New Angle?

Mostly during the fall we have daily events we have a whole chart with different things that we promote daily.

How do you feel about conducting your business on Lancaster Avenue?

It has always been good to me and I’ve been good to Lancaster Avenue. I find it quite enjoyable.

If you were to retire who would you pass your business down to?

My children.

Do you have any other investments other than here?

I have several other businesses on Lancaster Avenue: I have the Gold Coast Lounge, and own various properties.

Did you want to own this kind of establishment when you were growing up, or did you want to do something else?

I’ve been here so many years that I forgot any other desires that I’ve had. But I am very happy here.  [The business] has  been good to me and I’ve been good for it.
